LCD Projector

An LCD projector is a type of multimedia projector for displaying video, images or computer data on screen or other flat surface.
The way the LCD Projector (liquid Cristal Display) project is by send light from a projector lamp throw a prism that separates light to three poly silicone panels – each on for different colour – red, green and blue, each one have pixels that can be opened to allow the light to pass or close to block the light. This combination produces a wide range on colours in the projected image.

LCD Projector with a screen

To be able to see a very clear and good quality image it is necessary to have a good screen to project on, even you can project on any flat wall it is important you know that sometimes a white background can damage the dark colours in the image, because there is no contrast. Many time its better to use a gray or darker surface for LCD projector, but not too dark – it can hide the lighter colours.

Throw

Good information is to know what is Throw is, Throw is the multiple of the size to the distance from the screen to the projector. As far as the projector is from the screen the wider the picture, but the quality is lower, so its good to find a good LCD Projector with a good quality Projector Lamp and check its Throw.

Example: if the distance between the screen and the projector is 20’ and the Throw is 2 that mean the image width will be 10’

The History of The LCD

LCD projector invented in 1968 by Gene Dolgoff in New York, he decided to invent new projector that can use one beam of light to go throw one regulate and not by three like before.
In 2005, LCD projector has come-back because of the addition of the dynamic iris has improved perceived contrast up to the level of DLP projector.
Many LCD projectors frequently used by hobbyists who like to build their own DIY projection systems. The technique is to combine a high projector lamp and ballast with a condenser and collector Fresnel, which is LCD that been removed from a common computer display and a triplet.
